Antrochoanal (or sphenochoanal) polyps refer to polyp growths that originate in the maxillary sinuses. Polyps are non-cancerous tumors that usually grow in the lining tissues of a specific organ i.e. antrochoanal polyps grow on the lining tissues of the maxillary sinuses. These polyps are rare and usually occur in people younger than 40 years of age, they are also rare in children, except for children with cystic fibrosis.
Each individual has four pairs of paranasal sinus cavities, the Ethmoid, Sphenoid, Frontal and Maxillary sinuses. Maxillary sinuses are situated in the cheek area, below the eyes on either side of the nose. They are the biggest sinus cavities in the skull.

The main symptoms of antrochoanal polyps are:
- Nasal obstruction
- Post Nasal Drip
- Snoring
- Sleep apnea
- Pain in the cheek area
- Mouth breathing
- Diminished sense of smell
- Secondary sinus infection that is accompanied by headaches
The cause of antrochoanal polyps are not clearly identified, but infections, bacteria and allergies in the sinuses are possible causes. In some cases antrochoanal polyps may stick out into the nasopharyngeal airway and even the pharynx when left untreated, sometimes causing minor displacement of the soft palate.
There is minimal or no hope for people suffering from sinus polyps. The only way conventional doctors treat polyps is through complete surgical removal of the polyp which involves pain, bleeding, a long recovery processes, the risk of facial disfigurement and a relatively high recurrence rate.
Now there is a safe and effective way of treating any sinus condition, nasal polyps included. SinusWars13 will help drain the mucus from the nasal polyp and the sinus lining will return to its natural state with minimal effort and without having to go under the knife.
